Lula Carter has spent nearly two decades helping people feel better in their own bodies — from corporate campuses to clinical settings to neighborhood wellness studios.
Her approach is simple: ask the right questions, choose the right technique, and create a calm space to unwind, reset, and let go.
Book with Lula
Lula became a Certified Massage Therapist in 2006, drawn to the work because of how directly it changes a person's day — and sometimes their week. Since then, she's practiced across some of the most varied environments a therapist can train in.
At Massage Envy, she logged thousands of sessions and learned to adjust her hands quickly to whatever each client walked in carrying. At the Facebook campus, she worked inside a corporate wellness program where her clients were software engineers, designers, and execs — most of them living in their shoulders and necks. At Transcendentist, she helped patients release jaw, neck, and upper-back tension tied to dental work. And through Zeel, she delivered on-demand, in-home massage to clients across the Bay Area.
Along the way she added formal certifications in lymphatic drainage and prenatal massage — two specialties that require careful training and a very different touch than standard work.
Today, Lula practices out of a calm, private wellness office, where she's free to give every client her full attention. No upsells, no rushed turnover — just the kind of attentive, well-trained session you'd expect at a destination spa, at a price that makes regular bodywork possible.
Completed formal training and licensure — the foundation of nearly two decades of practice.
Built deep range and stamina across Swedish, deep tissue, and therapeutic work in a high-volume clinical environment.
Provided on-site massage as part of Facebook's employee wellness program — tension-release work for desk-bound professionals.
